Radio Northwich and RN Live Events brought Verdin Park to life with the RN Live Aid 40 Event, a two-day festival packed with iconic sounds, community spirit, and non-stop energy. Marking 40 years since the legendary 1985 Live Aid concert, this tribute celebration featured powerhouse performances honouring Queen, Madonna, U2, Phil Collins, David Bowie, and more.
With tribute acts like Counterfeit Quo, Tasha Leaper as Madonna, Don’t Stop Queen Now, and Money for Nothing, the weekend pulsed with nostalgia and joy — and the crowd matched every beat with raised hands, dancing feet, and open hearts.
Funds were raised for two amazing causes: Brain Tumour Research and Simply the Breast (supporting Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity). A powerful reminder that music not only brings people together — it helps make a difference.
The celebration was electric. From euphoric singalongs to candid cheers captured under the summer sky, Northwich showed up loud, proud, and full of life. Huge respect to Radio Northwich for putting on a weekend the town won’t forget.
